The 16-year-old long and triple jumper, from Alfreton and a member of Amber Valley and Erewash AC, won the England Indoor Athletics Championships triple jump and also took a bronze medal in the same event at the English Schools Athletics Championships.
Katie says: "My training currently consists of a variation of strength and conditioning, plyometrics, speed work, and technical jumps training at the track and at the Derbyshire Institute of Sport.
"Having won medals at national championships last season, I would love to repeat this in the near future.
"My long term ambition would be to represent England at international championships, as it would be the ultimate achievement for me to represent my country doing something I love.
"Moving up an age group this year is a challenge I am looking forward to and am still hoping to achieve a place in the top six in national competitions, despite the more experienced athletes I may compete against
"In doing this, I hope to achieve a jump in the region of 11.80m to 12m next season."
