The 20-year-old hockey, player, from Idridgehay and a student at Exeter University, is a member of the Isca Hockey Club in Devon and in the Great Britain Development Squad that regularly trains at the Lilleshall National Sports Centre.
Kathryn says: "I am currently in my third year of study at the University of Exeter, studying Business and Spanish.
"I am captain of the university first XI and Isca, the National League side which I play for on weekends.
"I am part of the England and GB Under-21 squads and part of the England Development Squad which is a programme designed to bridge the gap between the Under-21 and the senior hockey programmes.
"Studying at Exeter means there is a lot of travel for me to get to training days and camps, which are usually held at Lilleshall (near Birmingham). Our England schedule tends to consist of one day a week for 3 weeks art Lilleshall and then one week off.
"We also have two pitch sessions per week in Exeter and two gym sessions in order to carry out strength work."
