Group from Parkinson’s UK visit Derby Inclusive Cycling Hub
Members from the Ashbourne and District Branch of Parkinson's UK try out the adapted cycles.
A group from the Ashbourne and District Branch of Parkinson's UK recently visited Cycle Derby's Inclusive Cycling Hub at Markeaton Park.
Writing about their experience in the group's monthly newsletter, members said: "We were very impressed by the range of adapted bikes available and the willingness of the staff to help us enjoy ourselves.
"Ashbourne Community Transport were able to deliver us very close to the action and those of us who enjoyed this taster session are very keen to go again.
"We thoroughly recommend this activity, whether or not you consider yourself to be a cyclist! Harry with his customary good humour tested out four bikes before he found the one to suit him best. So if you don't yet know what a Handcrank- Side by Side- Da Vinci is, this trip is for you!"
