The 14-year-old athlete, from Shirland, is a pupil at Alfreton Grange Arts College and a member of Amber Valley and Erewash Athletics Club. Caitlin competes in the discus and won a gold medal at the English Schools' Championships.
Caitlin says: "My current winter training programme is centred around strength and conditioning and ultimately injury prevention.
"I train at Moorways athletics track in Derby three times a week in the winter months under the guidance of my coach Barry Hawksworth. The sessions are mainly technical drills with a short weight session at the end.
"Although I am a discus thrower, I like to keep fit and do some running sessions at Amber Valley and Erewash AC's club track in Ilkeston once a week, along with the odd hill session at Shipley Park when possible.
"My main aims for 2016 are to develop my technique further, compete at the English Schools Athletics Championships as a first year Under-17 athlete and again win gold for discus and represent England in the annual SIAB Schools Home International - England vs Scotland vs Wales vs Ireland.
"The final competition will be the England athletics Under-17 Championships in Bedford, where I hope to better my 2015 silver medal.
"My short term ambitions are to represent England in the SIAB International for the next few years and gain the standard for selection for the Commonwealth Youth Games in 2017.
"Ultimately it is study for a degree and to become a full-time funded athlete and compete internationally for my country with the dream of competing in the World Championships and Olympic Games."
