Victoria is a 15-year-old tennis player from Ashbourne who is a member of Church Broughton Tennis Club and a member of the LTA's Futurestars programme. She is also on the Derbyshire Institute of Sport programme and has aspirations to play at a professional level.
Victoria says: Although I live in Ashbourne, I am schooled and train at the Nottingham My Tennis High Performance Academy, coached by Mike Peel, with whom I have worked with since the age of five.
"I have been very privileged to represent Great Britain on several occasions since the age of 12, including the European Youth Olympic Festival in Tbilisi in July 2015 and the Under-14 Winter Cup in Sweden.
"In 2016, since returning in April from a prolonged injury, I reached the semi-final of a women's pro-circuit 10k tournament at Nottingham. In Junior ITF tournaments. I have won both singles (Dundalk, Ireland) and doubles (Aarhus, Denmark) titles and runner up in doubles (Almere, Netherlands).
Nationally, I am Under-16 girls doubles champion and was a proud member of the Derbyshire Ladies team that gained promotion in the summer County Cup in 2016. I also supports my local tennis club at Church Broughton, playing in team matches when available.
"I am looking to continue to build on the foundations laid to make significant progress in international competition while also achieving my academic goals."
