The 16-year-old recurve archer, from Duffield and a student at Ecclesbourne School, is a member of the Derwent Bowmen and Forres Archers Clubs, on the Derbyshire Institute of Sport programme, has represented Scotland at the Commonwealth Youth Games and won gold at the National Indoor Championships.

Struan says: "It has a busy year in which I represented Great Britain at the Youth World Championships in the USA, at the Youth European Championships in Rome and represented Scotland in Samoa at the Youth Commonwealth Games.

"All of which were amazing experiences in which I was extremely proud to represent GB and Scotland.

"I finished the year by winning the GB talent festival and was selected to shoot in a team round at the National Series final in Nottingham in August, where I won a new bow which I am looking forward to trying out.

"This year I am hoping to represent Scotland at the Junior National Indoor Champs at Stoneleigh, Warwick in December and will aim for the GB selection shoot in June next year. I will continue with my strength training through the Derbyshire Institute of Sport (DIS)."
