Sportswoman of the Year

Hollie Webb's Sportswoman of the Year award was collected by her sister Natasha.

Rio Olympic gold medallists Hollie Webb retained the Sportswoman of the Year title after she shot to national fame in the summer when her penalty stroke clinched victory for Great Britain in an exciting women's Olympic hockey final against the Netherlands.

It was the finalé to a brilliant tournament out in Brazil for the former Belper Hockey Club player, who helped her British team-mates remain unbeaten throughout the tournament en route to a place at the top of the podium.

She saw off the challenge of Bolsover District's England and Birmingham City Ladies goalkeeper Sophie Baggaley, from Newton, and Derbyshire Dales shooter Caroline Povey, of Tansley, who had both enjoyed a year to remember themselves.

Caroline said: "It was always going to be a tough ask to beat Hollie after what she has achieved, but I'm delighted to have the recognition of being a finalist.

"As ever, the Derbyshire Institute of Sport (DIS) and Derbyshire Sport have given me terrific support and I'm hoping for more success next year."
