Regional Chairperson needed
Triathlon England East Midlands are looking to appoint a new Regional Chairperson to lead an active and dynamic regional committee. With the recent modernisation of British Triathlon into the respective home nations there has never been a time where so much importance falls upon the regions. This is why we are looking to appoint a well informed, productive and reliable individual to lead the East Midlands into future success.

Roles and Responsibilities
Chairperson
·To Chair Meetings
·Acts as the principal officer taking decisions wherever the need arises, in consultation with the regional committee
·The Chair must become familiar with the workings of the regional committee and governing body i.e. Triathlon England / British Triathlon – link with the Regional Development Manager on any new initiatives etc.
·Sit on the Triathlon England Council representing the views of the region.
·The Chair must be well informed of the activities of the regional committee and its financial status
·Be well informed of the agenda and link with the Development Manager one week before the meeting
·Ensure that the agenda is properly followed during the meeting
·A good listener, helpful and diplomatic, the ability to maintain harmony within the regional committee
·Promote and represent Triathlon England within the region
·Encourage membership of , & support for, Triathlon England
