Go-Ride School Clubs in Derby
In Derby , Leesbrook Community Sports College , Sinfin Community School and Derby Moor Community School are currently working with British Cycling to set up Go-Ride School Clubs.
The development of these Go-Ride School Clubs is part of a broad raft of cycling developments at the tree schools, which includes cycle storage, school travel plans and a pool of bikes stored at the schools to be used for various cycling activities. It is projected that the three school clubs will be independent of each other but plan to work in partnership to help streamline administration and applications for funding.
The developments at the three schools are an important part of the wider development of cycling and wheeled sport activity within the city, including a mobile skate park visiting local schools and major events, including a visit to the Tour of Britain stage finish.
