Peak District Sponsored Bike Ride run by Bike Event in aid of Help the Aged
Start between 8am – 10am
Starting and finishing in Buxton, most of this route is traffic free taking in the High Peak and Tissington trails. The route is 45 miles long and is well signed. Designated refreshment stops along the way.

‘1st Come and Try It’; Off Road Ride run by Matlock Cycling Club
9:15am – 12:30pm
As the name suggests these events are run for beginners to cycling. A refreshment stop will be held en route. Ride distances will be set on the day to suit attendees

‘Ride the Net’ run by Chesterfield Cycle Campaign

A gentle cycle ride exploring the developing network of cycle routes in the town. This ride is suitable for families and those looking for pleasant, quiet ways of getting from A to B. Routes are mostly off road. Ride is around 5 miles in length and includes refreshment and playground stops.

Everyone Welcome Rides run by Alfreton CTC (Cyclists Touring Club)

As the title says everyone is welcome, whatever their age or ability and irrespective of the bike they ride. Anyone under 14 should be accompanied by an adult. An experienced rider is always available to act as a ‘bike mate’ to new riders if required. This ride is to Morley.

Orienteering Challenge Ride run by Chesterfield Cycle Campaign
All Day
Put your physical and mental powers to the test with a choice of routes: For families/novice cyclists the route is contained wholly within Holmebrook Valley Park. For the more experienced rider, the route heads further a field with more challenging terrain. Register at the Parks visitor centre between 10am – 2pm to receive your route map.

‘Get on Yer Bike’ for National Bike Week run by Derbyshire County Council’s Countryside Service
10am – 4pm
An easy paced and mostly traffic free cycle ride for all ages on the Trans Pennine Trail from Chesterfield to Rother Valley Country Park where there is a stop for lunch before heading back. Around 20 miles in total. Bring your bike, helmet and plenty to drink. Don’t forget your picnic or money to buy lunch at Rother Valley’s café. Booking Essential
