Youth Engagement Through Sport Project - General Information
The Youth Engagement Through Sport (YETS) Project is a partnership funded project which is to be delivered across South Derbyshire.
The Project will:
- Deliver sporting opportunties in 'hot spots' of anti-social behaviour
- Deliver the recommendations of the 2004 Youth Needs Survey
- Deliver South Derbyshire District Council's 'Playschemes', 'Sportsmobile' and 'School Holiday' activity programmes
- Provide training and education opportunities for young people (e.g. Community Sports Leaders Awards) in areas of anti-social behaviour
- Develop community led facilities and projects
- Complete a 'Youth Facility Plan' , which produces a programme of providing youth facilities in specific locations around the District
