Strategic Sports Group - General Information
The Strategic Sports Group (SSG) is a partnership group of representatives from several organisations from across South Derbyshire.
Represention on the SSG is from:
- South Derbyshire District Council - Strategic Officers
- Derbyshire & Peak Park Sport & Recreation Forum
- The Youth Service
- Green Bank Leisure Centre
- DD & SD PCT
- Rosliston Forestry Centre
- South Derbyshire Primary & Secondary Schools
- South Derbyshire District Council - Councillors
- South Derbyshire Sport
- and other Groups as required
The focus of the SSG is to 'co-ordinate the strategic delivery of sport, recreation, health and physical activity in South Derbyshire' through partnership planning and delivery.
The SSG has links links with DPPSRF (through its portfolio areas of work), Strategic Officers of the District Council (through their areas of work and dissemination of information to other parties) and South Derbyshire Sport (links to the voluntary sports sector).
