Don’t be bored this summer – pick up a copy of Derbyshire Dales District Council Summer Holiday Programme for 2006 and join in the fun!
The Summer Holiday Programme is packed full of activities for young people during the summer holidays. The times, dates, locations and cost of all the sports courses the District Council are providing are listed in the programme together with a booking form.
Councillor Mrs Janet Goodison, Chairman of the District Council’s Community and Environment Committee helped launch this year’s programme at schools across the District. Activities are taking place in Ashbourne, Bakewell, Matlock, Wirksworth, Hathersage, Bradwell and Darley Dale.
Cllr Mrs Goodison said: “Last year over 450 young people took part in the sports sessions alone, we hope even more will join in this year. All the old favourites like tag rugby and multi sports are taking place again along with new options such as wrestling! The summer programme is always popular and the courses fill up really quickly so go on line to the District Council website or contact Sports Development for a copy of the programme and book your place!”
The Summer Holiday Programme is available on the District Council website at www.derbyshiredales.gov.uk . You can book and pay online. Or you can contact Sports Development on 01629 761381 for more information or a copy of the Programme.
