Chesterfield Swimmers take 4th in West Midlands Premier League
Swimmers from Chesterfield Swimming Club achieved a fourth place in the second round gala of the Premier Division of the West Midland Speedo League held at Burton.
The thirteen years and under girl's quartet were in winning form. Grace Richards (pictured) took a first in the butterfly and was joined by Rebecca Durnall Paige Goucher and Paige Goucher to win both the medley and freestyle relay.
Also in winning ways was Parkside Community School student Craig Carver who broke the club record for his age group in winning the thirteen years and under backstroke in 1min.11.10 seconds. Ryan Woolley won this event in the fifteen years and under age group while Danielle Goodlad took a first in the breaststroke in this age group.
On the same evening the club took fifth place in the second round of the Nottingham and District League gala at Hucknall. The fifteen and thirteen years and under girls squad including Alice Brooks and Janice Sewell were in top form with wins for both teams in the relays. Also in these winning quartets were Laura White and Grace Bramley who won the individual breaststroke, and Amy Sykes and Millie Golding who won the butterfly and backstroke.
