The North Derbyshire Disability Sport Network is a newly formed group that has an aim of developing sporting opportunities for disabled children and adults in the districts of Bolsover, Chesterfield and North East Derbyshire.

Other groups similar to this around Derbyshire have been successful in identifying gaps in provision and have worked to increase accessible sports clubs and activities.

Members of the group include:

Disabled sports people
Parents/carers
Sport Development Officers
Fairplay
Schools/colleges
Local clubs
Primary Care Trusts

An aim of the group will be to seek funding from a variety of sources to support these developments.
