Amber Valley Sport and Leisure Group
The aims of the Forum are strategically developing sporting opportunities from participation to excellence, supporting existing organisations and developing new clubs and associations within AmberValley.
Objectives
- To represent the sporting views and needs of the members of the Amber Valley Sports Development Forum by providing interactive communications between strategic sports bodies, such as Derbyshire Peak Park Sports Forum, Sport England, Amber Valley Borough Council and Sports Specific Forums, Schools and Community Leisure Development Groups.
- Strategically facilitating & co-ordinating sporting opportunities from participation to excellence
- Facilitating advice on sources of funding for facilities, obtaining further equipment, coaching and training resources for members of the Sports Development Forum
- Sharing of good practice, improve communication and liaison channels and pass on understanding to others
- Supporting existing organisations
- Developing new clubs and associations
- Provide advice on the availability of Coaching Education
- Increase awareness and improve sporting opportunities for all
