Description of facilities
Lea Green is one of the country's leading team building and personal development centres.
Welcome to Lea Green, a unique mixture of old fashioned charm and cutting edge development training opportunities and activities. Lea Green is justly proud of its welcoming and warm atmosphere as well as its history and heritage.
Situated on a 25 acre site on the border of the Peak National Park, it has a wide range of amenities including a large multi-use sports hall, an astro-turf training area, high and low ropes courses, a climbing wall, a problem solving park and meeting and conference facilities. Additionally the Centre has full size football and cricket pitches and extensive grassed areas that can be marked out in a variety of training pitches.
Lea Green regularly hosts residential training camps for national and county teams, including England Basketball, Derby County FC School of Excellence, England Men’s Lacrosse and England Lacrosse Under 19 World Cup Training Squad.
As well as excellent sporting and residential facilities, Lea Green offers outstanding personal and team development opportunities and is also available for non residential days.
The sports hall has disabled changing and shower facilities and wheelchair access to the hall itself.
Situated in an enclosure on the top park at Lea Green, the best description for the high ropes course is awe-inspiring! The course is over 45ft high and compromises eight different elements that include individual, pair and team challenges for all age groups.
Also situated on the top park at Lea Green the climbing tower is 45ft high and
comprises two main climbing walls, one vertical and one inclined slab style, with an internal access to the top of the tower. Both walls have a graded set of routes from easy holds to very difficult. The climbing tower is suitable for groups of up to 18-20 people of all ages and abilities and is an ideal facility for running structured courses in climbing and abseiling.
