The 18-year-old footballer, from Newton a goalkeeper for Birmingham City Ladies, has represented England at an Under-19s European Championship Finals and been asked to train with the national senior squad ahead of their match with Estonia.
Sophie says: "In November 2015, I am returning to pre-season training with Birmingham City Ladies FC, after a short break post the 2015 season
"Last season saw me gain my first appearance in the top flight of women's football – the FA WSL 1 – and following that I gained 10 more first team appearances playing in key games such as in the semi-final of the Continental Cup
" I have recently signed a new contract with the club and hope to have a successful season in 201,6 which is a year that also sees us committing to a full-time training programme.
"Internationally, I am currently part of the England Women's Under-20 squad, after moving up from the Under-19 age group which saw us reach the European Championship Finals in both Israel and Norway.
"I aim to remain a key part of this squad throughout the season. Earlier this year, I was invited to train with the England Senior squad which was a great experience, and I am striving to achieve this again.
"My long term sporting ambitions include going to a World Cup and getting silverware, as well as domestically winning a league title, the FA Cup and playing in the UEFA Champions League."
