Keep them coming back
Having the right people in place helps make a healthier and happier club or group.
Providing a positive experience for everyone in your club or group will keep them coming back and they are likely to encourage others to become involved too.
Club Matters provides resources and support of what to consider when managing volunteers, coaches, members and participants.

Promote volunteering opportunities
Clubs and groups can promote their volunteering opportunities through the following:
- Join In website – national site that connects volunteers with clubs.
- Your local volunteer centre.
- Your local School Sport Partnership Leadership Academy, who train hundreds of young volunteers each year.
Recognise your volunteers
The work that volunteers do is an important part of the success of any club or group. Recognition of this can take place in different ways, whether it's formally through a club awards dinner or informally through a simple 'thank you' - volunteers should always be recognised!
The Sports Awards are a great opportunity to recognise volunteers, to find out how to nominate someone for an award, click here.
