The event encourages teams to compete for fun and pride and raise funds for charity.
Each team needs a minimum of four, up to a maximum of ten members and the four quickest times from each team count towards the final result.
Last year’s winning team from PricewaterhouseCoopers was one of three they put forward to take up the challenge. This year, they are back with five teams.
Peter Warnes, (27) from PwC, said: “We’re looking to defend our title. The Team Challenge gives the race an added level of competitiveness.”
He continued: “The extra facilities on offer in the Team Challenge really help.”
The team in second place, from Lubrizol will be competing again and are keen to challenge for the title they last won in 2007.
Amongst the other competitors will be last year’s third place team ‘In Active Derbyshire’, captained by Phil Basterfield (26).
Phil said: “None of us are club runners, but we are all quite fit and active and the 10k is a chance to go out and have fun and earn bragging rights back at the office!”
Entrants in the Cooper Parry Business Team Challenge will enjoy all the benefits of the individual 10k race, plus hospitality in the exclusive Pedigree Suite overlooking Pride Park Stadium, team photo, prize-giving, a designated massage area and a supervised baggage area.

The Cooper Parry Business Team Challenge is supported by East Midlands Development Agency (emda) and the Derbyshire Management Group for the 2012 Games in a bid to encourage a more active lifestyle, and is part of the Derbyshire Building Society 10k.
The road race is organised by Derbyshire charity Sporting Futures, and will start and finish at Pride Park Stadium on Sunday 11 April.
