Just a single point decided the winners of the boys’ event at the East Midlands Airport Derbyshire Year 7 Sportshall Athletics Finals - with Shirebrook School beating Buxton School to first place.

Nine of North East Derbyshire’s most gifted young sports people have been awarded bursaries from the Derbyshire Talented Athlete Fund to help them in their bid to reach the top in their chosen sport.

Buxton Community School were the winners at the High Peak School and Sport Partnership Year 7 Sportshall Athletics Finals, sponsored by East Midland Airport.
