Seven students from Stubbin Wood took part in the tournament in Amasya, where they enjoyed learning how to play boccia, curling, tag rugby, badminton and handball.
Also taking part were pupils from five other special schools, from Germany, Latvia, Czech Republic and Turkey.
The students from Stubbin Wood, accompanied by three teachers, taught the Turkish, Latvian and Czech students how to play curling as they had not seen this sport before.
The trip was part of a Comenius project, which is funded by the British Council and provides opportunities for schools and colleges to introduce and strengthen the European dimension in their curriculum.
The Stubbin Wood students thoroughly enjoyed the trip and the next part of the project will take place in Sunderland in June.
