Talented golfer to head to Brazil for Faldo Series Grand Final

Derbyshire golfer Nick Newbold is to travel to Brazil to compete in the Faldo Series Grand Final after topping his age group in the regional final.

Nick, from Kedleston Park Golf Club in Derby, competed in the U15 category at the Faldo Series Regional Final held at the Forest Of Arden.

His first place means he has qualified for the Grand Final in Brazil, which will be held at Costa do Sauipe Golf Resort from October 25 to 31.

Nick, who is a beneficiary of the Derbyshire Talented Athlete Fund, will join talented golfers from Faldo Series tournaments in more than 15 countries worldwide.

They will have the chance to meet and draw inspiration from Nick Faldo himself at the first ever Faldo Series Grand Final to be held outside of the UK.
