The reigning World and European Junior Champion Sam Mak, from Matlock, once again dominated the Junior Competitions, winning four Gold Medals and retained his undisputed All Round UK Junior National Crown since 2002 and confirmed his place in the UK Junior National Team 2008.
Fellow Derby School of Chinese Martial Arts student Steve Coleman also won three Golds and retained his adult All Round UK National Crown for the fourth year in a row.
The National Wushu Championships were this year staged at Moorways Sports Centre in Derby for the first time, and saw competitors from across the UK.
The day kicked-off with a spectacular lion dance performed by Ma Bo Lion Dance Team followed by the team parade.
Fred Mak, General Secretary of Derby School of Chinese Martial Arts, said: "The atmosphere in the stadium was stunning, crowds were cheering and shouting encouragement to all athletes and to repay the faith from their supporters, the athletes put on an absolutely stunning show.
"They demonstrated excellent techniques in both weapons and open-hand forms. The professionalism from the athletes competing was world class. Their hunger for success and determination shined through in their performances."
He added: "I am sure the crowd would agree with me that the competition was marvellous and of a high quality. We have seen enormous talent and determination from this group of young athletes and I am sure their futures are bright."
Sam Mak is now taking a short break to let his tendonitis injury heal properly before he embarks a rigorous training schedule in preparation for the 2nd World Junior Championships in Bali, Indonesia in December.
