The children from Pennine Way Primary School, Swadlincote, were very unlucky to miss out on first place in the primary school competition. As in last year's championship they were pipped into second place by just one single point, losing out to Holmgate Primary School, Chesterfield.
In the Secondary Schools competition the students at Lady Manners School, Bakewell put in a set of fine performances to score the maximum points possible thus taking the trophy by a clear margin.
