Around 150 pupils from schools across Derbyshire will be competing for medals at the East Midlands Airport Derbyshire Schools’ Miniathlon Championships next week.

The Derby School of Chinese Martial Arts had a successful day at the 2008 National Wushu Championships, winning 12 Gold Medals and three Silver Medals.

Between 14-22 June, cyclists using the Everyday Cycling website registered over 42,000 cycling miles on the site’s Activity Log. With fuel costing around £1.20 per litre, trips made by bike saved members around £7,000 at the petrol pump in just one week.
