Erewash Novice Triathlon to be held for second year
The Erewash Novice Triathlon is to be held for a second year in 2008.
Following last year’s success the event will be held on Sunday, July 13, and will include a 400m swim, ten-mile bike ride and 5km run.
The main aim of the event is to encourage people who are new to regular sport and physical activity, and people are invited to find out more at an event launch at West Park Leisure Centre on Sunday, March 30 from 10am until 12pm.
Participants in July’s triathlon will be asked to complete the swimming leg at West Park Leisure Centre, the bike ride on public roads and the run in West Park, with a pit-stop in between each sport.
This year there will also be a Corporate Team Challenge, in which teams of three enter and the fastest combined team wins.
There will also be a one-mile Family Fun Run in West Park at the same time as the triathlon to encourage families and spectators to join in.
