With less than 30 days to go its time for you to register for the CSV Make a Difference Day.
CSV Make a Difference Day is the
Run by CSV (Community Service Volunteers) and supported by Barclays PLC, the day gives everyone the chance to volunteer in his or her local community without commitment.
In 2003, over 88,000 people took part in the event, providing publicity for the organisations involved and helping to recruit new volunteers.
It is anticipated that 2004 will be even bigger.
Over 89% of those who took part last year recruited new members.
Each organiser will receive an action pack that includes t-shirts, posters, pens, certificates and a media toolkit. It also includes those essential requirements for all volunteers’ tea, biscuits and chocolate!
Why do people and organisations get involved?
- It's a fantastic way to attract new volunteers
- To win publicity for their organisation
- To build new partnerships in their community
- To learn new skills
- To meet new people
- To use the day to kick-start a new project
- To feel good for making a difference!
Examples include organisations holding open days, running training sessions, parent and child coaching days and using the day to renovate clubhouses or facilities.

Why not offer a couple of hours of your time to make this day a success.
