Chesterfield Tennis Club Nominated for LTA Club of the Year

For the first time ever Chesterfield Tennis Club has been nominated for the LTA's Club of the Year Award.

However, to win this award we need your votes by 31st October 2004!!!

Chesterfield LTC, Derbyshire
The club has an active programme for all ages of performance junior. It runs a great mini tennis programme, with 400 Mini Members. The club runs a programme that services 23 primary and three secondary schools and is actively involved in the Play Tennis campaign, which attracted 200 visitors this year.

The club has an active coach education policy with three DCA coaches, two ICA and CCA coaches and one TDA coach. It hosts a large internal tournament programme for all ages and abilities, and has a strong tradition of taking tournament juniors on competition trips.

Voting for this award is done electronically via the LTA's website, where you simply choose the category you want to vote for i.e. Club of the Year and select b) Chesterfield.

To win this award would be a massive boost for both Chesterfield & Derbyshire and will get National coverage in conjunction with the new £1 million redevelopment of the site starting in November.
