Inspire programme

The Inspire programme is run by the London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Inspired by London 2012 logo

It is an opportunity for everyone to be a part of the London 2012 Games - a broad participation programme spanning sport participation, education, sustainability, volunteering, and business opportunities and skills.

New opportunities are being created to inspire young people and encourage the whole of the UK to join in.

Most non-commercial organisations are eligible for the Inspire programme, for projects which have no commercial support.

For an up-to-date list of Inspire Mark projects in Derbyshire see the EMDA website (opens in a new window).

There are currently 17 Inspire Mark projects in Derbyshire, and more than 120 in the East Midlands.

Derbyshire projects include Village Games, which is supporting villages in Amber Valley, Bolsover, Derbyshire Dales, High Peak, North East Derbyshire and South Derbyshire to start new sports clubs and activities and host festivals and competitions to help people get more active on their doorstep.

The Inspire Mark is the badge of the London 2012 Inspire Programme, and recognises innovative and exceptional projects that are directly inspired by the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
