The London 2012 delivery team has stated that it expects to award around 7,000 direct contracts which, together with their suppliers, will form supply chains of around 75,000 opportunities, ranging from construction, engineering and manufacturing to creative, merchandising and retail.

22% of all contracts awarded for the London 2012 Games, are won by businesses with less than TEN employees.

Evans Concrete and Health and Safety Laboratory are just two of the 63 Derbyshire-based businesses that between them have won a total of 74 contracts relating to the 2012 Games so far. In the East Midlands contracts exceed £400m in value.
