Sports Development Officers Group

The Sports Development Officers Group generally meets four times during the year.

It is an opportunity for the Sport Development Officers employed within the local authorities in the county, Derby city and Sporting Futures to come together to discuss common issues.

The aims and objectives of the group are listed in the constitution but include sharing good practice, continuous professional development and agreeing views to feedback to the Derbyshire Sport Executive Group and other partners.

The Sport Development Officers Group is currently chaired by Richard Lightbown from Bolsover District Council.
