Liam Richardson

17-year-old Taekwondo player Liam, from Swadlincote attends Burton College and is a member of the heart of England Club. He won gold in the 2015 UITF World Championships as part of the England boys team and won individual gold and bronze at the WKU European Kickboxing Championships held in Germany in 2016 He hopes to compete for England at the World Championships being held in Argentina in 2017.

Liam says: "I have had a successful few months. I won two BLCC light contact competitions. These were national titles.

"Next year I have a busy few months getting ready for the 2017 competition season. As well as some national competitions I have my sights set on gaining a place in the England mens Taekwondo team and representing England at the World Championships in Argentina. I also have the World Kickboxing Union European Championships in Germany and their World Championships in Ireland to train for."
