Liam Richardson.

The 16-year-old Taekwondo competitor, from Overseal, is a student at The Pingle School. In April Liam won gold at the UITF British Championships, and then went on to win silver at the MWTA British Open Championships. He represented England at the World Kickboxing German Open Championships but had to pull out in the semi-final due to injury.

Liam says: "I had quite a successful 2015, in both Taekwondo and Kickboxing.

"I am the current Scottish Champion after winning gold at this year's Taekwondo Championships. I won gold again at the Unified International Taekwondo Federation British Championships, making me British Champion in his division.

"I then competed at the MWTA British Open Taekwondo Championships and won silver but missed out on a podium position due to injury in June when travelling to Germany with the England Kickboxing team.

"In July, I competed in the Unified International Taekwondo Federation World Championships and was selected for the under-17 England boys' team. They went on to win silver and gold in their events, making me a World Champion.

"I next compete in Albir, Spain at the WKU World Kickboxing Championships where I hope for more success."
