National Schools Sailing Association Youth Regatta - Volunteering Opportunity
From the 21st – 25th July Derbyshire is hosting the National Schools Sailing Association Youth Regatta at Carsington Water. The event is being hosted at Carsington Sailing Club by Derbyshire Youth Sailing. The event will see teams of young sailors from around the country competing in a series of races through out the week in a variety of boats. It is expected that we will have some 300 young people taking part in the event. This is quite a large event and we need volunteer help and support both in the build up to the event and during the event itself.

Youth Sport Trust and Amateur Swimming Association (ASA) - Young Official Development Officer
The Youth Sport Trust and Amateur Swimming Association (ASA) are looking to recruit one young person to undertake an amazing opportunity as a Young Official Development Officer.
The post:
- Full time volunteering opportunity, (approximately 30 hours per week, we can look to be flexible with hours)
- To commence at the beginning of September 2008 for 40 weeks (there is some flexibility here)
- Flexible location
- Volunteer Expenses: Up to £60 a week for 40 weeks - total of £2,400 and up to £4,000 expenses

Nancy Ovens Trust Coach Bursary Funding (Application Deadline April 30th 2008)
SkillsActive is delighted to once again offer the bursary on behalf of the Nancy Ovens Trust, to help a coach or leader working with young people in the sector to enhance their own skills and knowledge by taking part in studies, work experience or activities outside of their day-to-day job. The bursary, awarded annually, will be worth up to £2,000 and may be used by the selected individual(s) to undertake training or an alternative work experience within the UK or EU. The Nancy Ovens Trust and SkillsActive will appoint a mentor for the period of the bursary.
