Autism, sport and physical activity: an introduction to autism for sport & physical activity leaders

This half day course will provide a comprehensive introduction to the autism spectrum focusing on the delivery of sport and physical activity. Recognising and understanding the key areas of difficulty experienced by both the participants and the session leaders is vital to providing effective support.

Level 1 Certificate in Coaching Badminton (Badminton England)

The UKCC Level 1 Award for Assistant Coaches in Badminton is the entry point onto the coaching pathway and qualifies the assistant coach to support the Level 2 coach during a coaching session. This support role might include observation of practice, feeding and group management, to allow the effective delivery of the planned coaching programme.

Change4Life Primary Sports Club Conference (Wellingborough)

Primary sports clubs have been created to increase physical activity levels in less active seven- to nine-year-olds, through exciting activities and games.

To enable your school to host it’s own Change4Lfe Primary Sports Club this event will allow 2 members of staff and, uniquely, up to 4 of your school’s year 5/6 young leaders to be trained to use the Change4Life Club resources.

Learning Disability and Sport Workshop

Developed through a partnership between Mencap Sport and Special Olympics Great Britain this workshop looks at learning disability and sport. It aims to help clubs, coaches, and providers of sport understand how to support people with a learning disability to access sporting opportunities in an inclusive environment.
