District Disability networks are in place to support activities up and down the county.

English Federation of Disability Sport (EFDS)

English Federation of Disability Sport (EFDS) provide the strategic lead in sport and physical activity for disabled people in England.

Their vision is that disabled people are active for life.

District Disability Networks in Derbyshire

There are five Disability Sport Groups across the eight Derbyshire boroughs, that focus on all matters to do with disability sport.

National Disability Sport Organisations (NDSOs)

A collection of sports charities who work closely with Governing Bodies of Sport and other sports partners to develop participation and competition opportunities within sport for people within specific impairment groups that include:

  • Cerebral Palsy Sport
  • Dwarf Sports Association
  • Mencap Sport
  • British Wheelchair Sport
  • Special Olympics GB (SOGB)
  • UK Deaf Sport (UKDS)
