Funding Officer
Derbyshire Sport provides the strategic lead for sport in Derbyshire and is seeking an experienced candidate for this new post within the organisation.
The post holder will be responsible for significantly increasing the amount of funding coming into sport in Derbyshire, particularly from grant giving bodies at county, regional and national level. The post holder will also be expected to provide grant application advice to sports partners in the county.
The successful candidate will have a track record of success in making substantial grant applications, excellent communication and IT skills and be a strong team player.
A casual car user allowance is attached to this post but it is possible for the allowance to be converted to other forms of transport where there is a requirement to undertake travel as part of this post.
Due to this post having access to children and/or vulnerable adults, candidates will be required to undertake a Criminal Record Check. The possession of a criminal record will not necessarily prevent an applicant from obtaining this post, as all cases are judged individually according to the nature of the role and information provided.
