Sporting Futures
Sporting Futures is a Derby based charity that works throughout the county, whose aim is to use sport as a catalyst to engage with young people enabling them to build meaningful relationships with family, friends and the wider community in which they live.
All of Sporting Futures work is carried out in partnership with young people, members of the local community, local beat officers, Schools and Youth services. Key to the work is the development of the individual.
Currently we have the following exciting opportunities available:
TIDESWELL YOUTH ENGAGEMENT OFFICER-Part time 20hrs pr week 1 ½ years. Salary Scale 22-25 £18,693-£20,501 pro rata. Evening, weekend and School Holiday work will be expected.
The above position, based in the village of Tideswell (Derbyshire Dales) within the fantastic community sports and skate park facilities. The post holder will be required to develop and promote the use of the Tideswell Sports Complex amongst young people of the village, carry out outreach, work with community groups and local clubs to plan and deliver sport and leisure activities and help to develop young people through coach education and volunteering opportunities.
The post holder will be qualified to NGB level 2 or equivalent, highly motivated, expected to be able to work on their own and have experience of working with young people in community sports settings.
The above position is managed in partnership with Tideswell Youth Steering Group and has been funded by Sport England Active England Programme.
