Volunteer & Club Development Co-ordinator
The post holder will work with a variety of significant partners and primarily The Erewash Community Sport Network to develop and implement volunteering pathways and to source new and support existing volunteers into sport and physical activity.
The post holder will take positive steps to identify and overcome barriers to volunteering participation amongst young people, older people and people with disabilities, prioritising access and inclusion when working within diverse communities.
The post holder will also work with Erewash community sports clubs to improve standards leading to nationally recognised accreditation, develop within and across sport partnership working and review annually the needs of sports volunteers and community sports clubs.
The successful applicant will be required to undertake an acceptable CRB check
The Active Erewash project is a Communities Investment Fund initiative to increase and develop the number of volunteers and sports clubs in the Erewash area.
The closing date for applications is the 19 December 2008 and interviews will be held week commencing 5 January 2009.
