£22,500 pro rata (16 hours 10,000 pa) 2 year fixed contract

Are you a driving force with the ability to deliver and inspire others? If so we need you to develop inclusive and dedicated sport, physical activity and recreation opportunities in the East Midlands for disabled people.

We cover a whole host of initiatives, some National others local to the needs of Disabled people. Therefore you will need to be self-motivated, possess skills in partnership working, managing budgets and have a successful track record in delivering sustainable activity at a local level in either a voluntary or paid capacity.

By supporting partners in leading, planning, promoting and managing sport for disabled people, this post has the potential to make a real impact.

You would be responsible for:

Support the development of five priority dedicated sports, to ensure strategic cohesion with identified key partners and sports development structures.

Attract external funding and develop local strategies against identified local needs of disabled people

To develop at least 10 clubs that are either inclusive or dedicated through the focus sports.

To ensure that development/action plans are owned and delivered by the NGB?s that fit to the national player pathway.

To increase the number of disabled people actively involved in leadership and advocacy within the sports

The post is offered on a part time 16 hour a week 2 year contract. The position will be responsible to EFDS East Midlands Regional Manager, employed by the English Federation of Disability Sport, and housed in the East Midlands office at Loughborough University.
