Jethro McGraw

Jethro McGraw.

19-year-old middle-distance runner Jethro, from Belper, represented England Juniors at the indoor Welsh International, finishing third over the mile distance. The Amber Valley & Erewash Athletic Club athlete also won a silver medal at the Northern Championships.

Jethro says: "I am now studying at Birmingham University, allowing me to train with the very high quality athletics club there. My training week is now slightly different, as I'm working with new coaches, but predominantly the same with runs every day as well as sessions, circuits, drills and S&C throughout the week.

"I believe this change will benefit me massively, and hopefully allow me to make the step up to be competitive as a senior.

"My goals for the next season are to make finals in BUCS (both in & outdoors) and the EA Champs, medal at the North of England Champs and qualify to compete at the World Trials whilst continuing to work towards breaking the significant PB barriers of 1:50 and 3:50 (over the 800m and 1500m respectively).

"My all time ambition is to one day pull on the GB vest!"
