The 20-year-old 400m hurdler, from Denby Village and a student at Loughborough College, is on the Derbyshire Institute of Sport gold programme, won the BUCS Championships and was fourth in the final of the European Under-23 Championships trials.
Jess says: "The main focus on this winter training season is to improve on my development as an athlete, improve my fitness and technique in hurdling and pushing myself in every training session - and to improve on lifestyle including nutrition and recovery.
"The main goals for 2016 are to medal at BUCS Championships in 400m hurdles, final and potentially medal at British Championships and aim selections for senior Europeans in Amsterdam.
"I also want to come as close as possible to being selected for the 2016 Olympics in Rio, which would put me in a good position for the next Olympics in Tokyo 2020.
"I aim to train as hard as I can and produce good consistent races in the UK and abroad and move my way up the senior ranks to become top five in the country and also continue representing Great Britain."
