Isobel is a 17-year-old skier, also from Ashbourne, who competes in ski cross and is a member of the national academy. She represented Great Britain at the Youth Olympic Winter Games in Lillehammer and at the Junior World Championships in Val Thorens. She won the British Free Ski Championships in Laax, Switzerland in the junior ladies category and was second in the senior ladies.

Isobel says: "This past season was the Youth Olympic year, as well as my first season at FIS and I have competed in races across Europe and Scandinavia.

"After a PB finish of 13th in Sweden, I was selection to represent Team GB for ski cross at the Youth Winter Olympics in Lillehammer Norway, Junior World Championships Val Thorens, and was promoted to the Europa Cup.

"At the age of just 16 years, I finished a respectable 26th in the world at Under-22 after my first season competing at senior level. From here, I went on to compete in some home nation races, finishing 18th in the French Championships, first in the Under-18 British Championships and runner-up in the open category, making me vice champion of Britain.

"To conclude, I have qualified and represent Britain at the age of 16 at the Youth Olympic games and Junior World Championships, along with the promotion to the Europa Cup team.

"I'm looking forward to the next season I plan to aim higher, climbing up to rankings at FIS level and compete in some Europa Cup races stronger than ever."
