Henry Bowe

Henry Bowe.

Henry is a 15-year-old footballer from Chellaston who has been selected via the DCCT East Midlands Regional Talent Centre for partially sighted and deaf players to be a part of the FA's National Emerging Talent Programme.

Henry says: "I am a member of the East Midlands Centre of Excellence for Disability Futsal and train weekly with them. In 2015, I was put forward for trials with the FA England Elite Disability Emerging Talent programme and was successful in joining the Under-17 squad.

"I attended four residential training camps last year and have been selected to continue with the England Emerging Talent squad again this year. I also train a couple of times a week with FS Derby Futsal men's team in preparation for turning 16 and being eligible to play for them.

"This is in addition to weekly training and matches for my local and school teams and representing Derby Deaf Under-17 team nationally throughout the year.

"My long-term ambition is to represent my country as a member of the English Deaf Football squad."
