The 15-year-old Ogston Sailing Club member, from Alfreton, came third in the 29er National Championships from 40 boats and has been invited to join the RYA Transitional Squad, as well as the British Youth Squad.
Harvey says: "In a normal week, I will do four S&C sessions, which are provided by the Derbyshire Institute of Sport, and I also try and fit in at least two runs or a bike ride.
"On a weekend, if I'm not at an event, then my sailing partner Bobby Hewitt and I will be training either with the RYA 29er British Youth Squad somewhere across the country or at Ogston reservoir, my local sailing club.
"Over the next season, we aim to podium at all national level events, and be top 10 at all European and World level events. We also aim to get better consistency in our race results across all conditions.
"I think for any one competing at a high level in sport, the ambition has got to be to win an Olympic gold medal and I can't say I'm any different.
"In the short term, I want to transition at the end of next year into a 49er fx and get a place on the Olympic Podium Potential Squad."
