The 18-year-our mountaineering competitor, from Alfreton and a student at Chesterfield College, is a member of the Great Britain Junior Climbing Team who is aiming to compete at future European and World Championships.
Gracie says: "I currently compete at a junior level for GB in rock climbing. Over the next year I hope to work with my new coach to be selected to compete in the last season of junior international events that I am eligible for.
"I also aim to successfully transition into competing at a senior level and finally, I would like to climb 7c+ outside.
"Over the winter, I will be training hard to make these dreams a reality, and will train six times at the wall, in the gym and out in the elements every week.
"Long term, I aim to make finals at World Cup events, and boulder 8b. I may even get into some scary trad routes, where you use a rope and place your own protection (but I think that is a longway down the line!)
"I would like to say a massive thank you to Derbyshire Sport for the support, this is the fourth year they have supported me and the funding really helps towards training costs."
