The 20-year-old golfer, from Chapel-en-le-Frith, is a student at the University of Derby and a member of Cavendish Golf Club. He reached the quarter final of the Mens Amateur Championship and qualified to play in the Faldo Grand Final in Germany after winning the U21 category in the UK.
George says: "I have an extremely tough and physical training regime. I train hard every day, with sessions comprising of strength and conditioning, running, playing golf and two to three hours on the range.
"I visit the Derbyshire Institute of Sport weekly and my own personal coach once a fortnight. My nutrition, sleep and positive attitude, along with my training regime, ensure I am in peak condition and ready for the season ahead.
My aims this next year are to win a major competition and enter the top 300 in the World Amateur Golf Rankings and top 10 in the country.
"I am currently 684th in the world rankings and 24th in the English order of merit. I aim to qualify for the European Tour at the end of next year through qualifying school. My ambition is to play on the European and PGA Tours."
