Genevieve is a 13-year-old figure skater from Mickleover who has been on a World Class Programme for the last five years. She has won a silver medal at NISA Sheffield National Championships and a bronze at the NISA British Championships in the advanced novice ladies (short programme) and a gold in the NISA National Championships for Junior Ladies free programme).

Genevieve says: "I train six times a week before and after school at Ice Sheffield, 50 miles away from home. I have now progressed to Junior Level, two years early then required selection age for that level in Great Britain talent squad.

"I recently achieved the Junior World Qualification Scores at the first NISA National Competition for the season - IJS Sheffield 2016.

"I was talent spotted last year at a National competition in 2015 by Olympic champion Robin Cousins, NISA's Performance Manager for the Podium Potential Olympic Programme 2022-26.

"I have gained valuable experience at a few International Competitions and has been able to achieve podium places during 2014-2015 and 2015-2016 seasons despite being the youngest competitor in most competitions. I am currently the youngest UK competitor in the Junior Ladies Category and at the top of the National Rankings for he age.

"My goals for the next 12 months are in the first half of the season to achieve the Junior World technical score at a National Championships and in the second half of the season gain experience at Junior ISU International Competitions and achieve the Junior World technical score in ISU International Competition.

"By 2017-2018-I want to have been selected for one Junior Grand Prix during the first half of the season."
