Eva is a 17-year-old archer from Flagg who finished third in Junior National Outdoor Competition and was part of the Great Britain team to win European Junior bronze in the cadet category. She is a member of the Derwent Bowmen Club and on the Derbyshire Institute of Sport programme.

Eva says: "2016 has been an enjoyable year for me. My competitive season started well, with a steady increase to my comp PB with every tournament I completed.

"I qualified for the 2016 selection shoot with scores I achieved in 2015 and knew the standard would be competitive this year. I was very pleased with my performance and gained a place on the Great Britain team for the 2016 European Championships in Romania where I was part of the cadet ladies team that won a bronze medal.

"The season continued well and I achieved the required scores to be invited to the senior Archery Great Britain masters competition 2017. I competed in my final year as cadet at GB level at the Junior National outdoor Championships where I finished in 3rd place.

"My competitive year finished with a top 18 senior ranking position which I was happy with. I'm looking forward to 2017 as this is a World Championship year to be held in Argentina."
